Business Spotlight: North Stafford Rotarian Kelly Woods Vaughn

The North Stafford Rotary Club is proud to spotlight fellow Rotarian Kelly Woods Vaughn, co-owner and Chief Operating Officer of B & K Hotels, the parent company of the Riverview Inn, located in the charming waterfront town of Colonial Beach, Virginia in the Northern Neck of Virginia.

In 2017, Kelly helped lead the revitalization of the Riverview Inn, bringing renewed life and hospitality to Hawthorne Street and strengthening the small business community of Colonial Beach. Today, the inn welcomes visitors looking to experience the laid-back charm of the town, scenic views of the Potomac River, and the vibrant local shops, restaurants, and events that make the area a popular destination.

Kelly brings extensive professional experience to her role. Throughout her career, she has worked with local, state, and federal government agencies, as well as organizations in the healthcare, construction, and nonprofit sectors. Her background includes corporate operations, marketing, contracting, and fundamental business management—skills that have helped guide the continued success of the Riverview Inn.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Kelly is deeply engaged in the Colonial Beach community. She serves on the local tourism board, is actively involved in Downtown Colonial Beach initiatives, and is the founder of the Colonial Beach Women's Business Network, an organization that supports and connects women entrepreneurs and professionals in the region.

Through her work in hospitality, economic development, and Rotary service, Kelly continues to play a key role in supporting small businesses and strengthening the community she calls home. Her leadership and commitment reflect the spirit of Service Above Self that defines Rotary.
