Please review the following important update regarding the monks’ walk through our region.
Each locality within our area has come together and is now working collectively and directly with the national coordinators. These localities have established the official guidelines for the walk and are fully managing and overseeing its execution moving forward. At this stage, the walk is under the authority and responsibility of the local governments, as public safety must remain the highest priority.
There is no single individual responsible for any portion of this walk. Oversight rests with the respective localities to ensure the safety, coordination, and well-being of all involved.
While the North Stafford Rotary Club was honored to pioneer the initial community meeting and serve as the initial point of contact, we have formally turned over all information and coordination efforts to the localities so they can execute this event in the most appropriate and safe manner for our community. This endeavor extends beyond the scope of what a small Rotary club can responsibly manage on its own.
We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who attended the initial volunteer meeting and to those who generously stepped forward to serve as community chairs. Your willingness to serve truly reflects the Rotary value of Service Above Self.
We respectfully ask everyone to honor and comply with the rules and regulations established by our localities. This walk is intended to be a meaningful and uplifting experience—a time of peace, meditation, and, for many, prayer.
As the monks prepare to pass through our area, let us welcome them with respect, unity, and cooperation. By following local guidance and prioritizing safety, we can ensure a positive and peaceful experience for our entire community.
Thank you for your understanding, support, and continued commitment to community harmony.
Tisha Johnson, President North Stafford Rotary Club
