North Stafford Rotary Club Sponsors Stafford Food Security's 1st Anniversary Event

The North Stafford Rotary Club (NSRC) was proud to sponsor the First Anniversary Celebration for Stafford Food Security! What began with backpacks of non-perishable family meals provided to one elementary school in Stafford County has now grown to forty-three elementary, middle, and high schools in Stafford County, Fredericksburg, and Spotsylvania! With no paperwork or registration required, teachers and guidance counselors can identify and immediately assist students in need of meals at home.

The progress of this non-profit in themere twelve months it has existed is no small feat, but the success is due to the partnership between the energetic founder, Tiim White, and all of the schools and volunteers that make the magic happen. The event was well attended with members of the local community, school principals and teachers, and law enforcement representatives, as well as our own District 7610 Governor-Elect Glenn Yarborough! Rotarians from the North Stafford and the Alexandria-West Rotary Clubs were present as well.  We were also honored to have a repesentative of VA House Delegate Bob Thomas there to celebrate the accomplishments of Stafford Food Security. The NSRC is grateful to be involved with such an incredible organization and event! #PeopleOfAction
